Call me Earl, short for Erlenmeyer. Erlenmeyer Flask is a pen name.
This name is symbolic for me. An Erlenmeyer Flask is not the flashiest chemistry instrument, it is a common but useful object. I view my life this way. I am not flashy. I am not briliant. I make some contributions to humanity in the same way that so many others do like me. There is nothing that makes me stand out. But hopefully I am doing a useful service.
